Spa Medical Consultation

Here at Fusion Lifestyle your health and wellbeing is important to us. Therefore if you are currently pregnant, have any allergens, have a heart disorder, have a diagnosed medical condition or take any prescribed drugs, please let us know.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Guests may book for the Turkish Baths up to 21 Days in advance and Treatments up to 28 Days in advance. To do so, each guest must create their own Fusion Lifestyle account online and downloading the Fusion Lifestyle mobile app.
  2. Non-members must leave the Centre after their session and cannot go to other parts of the Centre i.e. after using the Turkish Baths you cannot then use the gym unless you have already booked and paid for that activity.
  3. All Turkish Baths sessions are 90 minutes long.
  4. Turkish Bath & Swim sessions have a 60 minute period incorporated into the session to use the Pool and Sauna. The times for using the pool do not exactly mirror the Turkish Baths session time.
  5. Members and non-members are not permitted to access areas of the building that remain closed.
  6. Guests must follow all relevant signage in the Centre at all times, which will be made clear in the welcome tour.
  7. Bath robes and towels will be provided however it is recommended to bring your own non slip footwear i.e. flip flops or sliders.
  8. We advise guests to arrive 10 minutes prior to the sessions starting. Sessions will not run over the allocated 90 minutes.
  9. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths once the session has ended and proceed to the changing rooms to allow time for a turn over in preparation for the next session.
  10. Guests arriving for treatments should arrive 10 minutes prior the booking to ensure enough time to fill out a consultation form for treatments.
  11. Sessions will only run in line with the Turkish Baths time table found on the City Baths website.

Pregnancy

  1. Please note that we do not offer face and body treatments to ladies who are 1-13 weeks pregnant.
  2. From 14 weeks we offer a range of specialized luxury pregnancy treatments
  3. If you need any further assistance please ask any member of staff.
  4. Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against any heat facilities i.e. Turkish Baths and Pool side Sauna.

Booking and Access

The following terms and conditions apply to all users of the Turkish Baths/Spa.

  1. To use the Turkish Baths or Spa facilities, this must be pre booked and paid online in advance.
  2. Each Guest attending must create their own account to be able to book.
  3. Only adults are permitted to use the Turkish Baths and Spa. An adult is someone deemed 16 and above.
  4. In instances of national emergency or local lockdowns, Fusion Lifestyle has the right to close centers without notice and/or limit usage to all facilities.
  5. Guests must pay for either their Turkish bath sessions or Spa treatment in advance of the booking or the booking will automatically be cancelled.
  6. All bookings are non-refundable or transferable so please ensure you can make the time slot you have booked before confirming your booking.
  7. The booking time covers the period of use including up to 5 minutes prior in preparation for treatments and Turkish bath visits.
  8. There may be restrictions on the number of bookings each person is permitted to make for each day.

Personal Details

  1.  Guests must supply their email address, mobile phone number and address before they use the Turkish bath and spa facilities.
  2.  Fusion Lifestyle will not pass details onto third parties.
  3. It is a guests responsibility to update their personal details with Fusion lifestyle should they change. Fusion lifestyle will update customers by email, social media and website.

Conditions of use

  1. All bookings are made subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use that may apply. These are available at the city-baths.co.uk.
  2. If the Spa rules are abused the booking may be terminated without notice. Bookings are non-refundable.
  3. Only Premium Plus members benefit from bringing a guest to the Turkish Baths which is included as a part of their membership.

Cancellation Fees, Rebooking and Non-attendance of bookings – as of 1st June 2021

  1. Full payment for the booking will be taken if a customer fails to attend a confirmed appointment.
  2. Treatment appointments can be rescheduled no later than 24 hours before a treatment is to take place. After the 24hour period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.
  3. We maintain the right to cancel bookings with less than 24hours notice for reason such as maintenance, staff shortage & staff sickness. 
  4. Turkish Bath Bookings can be rescheduled no later the 60 minutes before the session starts. After the 60min period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.     

Pool

  1. The pool will be open for lane swimming, utilizing ‘double’ lanes. Swimmers will need to asses which lane to swim in (slow, medium, fast). Safe over taking is permitted and swimmers should be respectful of other user’s personal space when swimming.
  2. We ask that the sauna on pool side is only used when the pool session is running and only if a lifeguard is present.

Gift Voucher

  1. Gift Card must be registered to person using the gift vouchers
  2. Must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase
  3. Can be used on any Session, Treatment or Product
  4. Person using the gift card must be over the age of 16
  5. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
  6. Gift Cards can’t be refunded or exchanged

Turkish Baths

  1. Relaxation room beds are allocated for each guest, guests must not switch beds during the session.
  2. Robes and towels are allocated to guests that are booked on for the Turkish Baths and Swim and also for Premium Plus members.
  3. Guests that are booked on for just Turkish Baths are only entitled to one towel and no additional towels will be provided so we advise guests to bring any additional towels from home.
  4. Only Shower gels and shampoos are permitted inside the Turkish Bath Hammam area. We ask that these are used towards the end of a session. Making use of these open showers is encouraged to enable the flow of customers given the smaller changing rooms.
  5. Guests are advised to bring their own flip flops for use in the Turkish baths.
  6. Water is provided inside the Turkish Baths we ask all guests to use the same cup provided for the duration of their session and place it on the used tray when the session has come to an end.
  7. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths at the end of the 90 minute session unless booked onto the next session where they will be asked to relax in the relaxation area whilst we clean and turnover the Turkish Bath Area.
  8. Premium Plus members are entitled to unlimited access to the Turkish Baths as long as they have booked on for all sessions they wish to use.
  9. Premium Plus members may be charged if they do not show for bookings. Members should cancel any bookings they do not plan to attend.

Spa and Turkish Baths Rules & Etiquette

  • Bathing costumes are to be worn at all times in all areas. Nudity is not permitted in any public areas of The City Baths Newcastle, including all of our facilities.
  •  Our Turkish Bath experience doesn’t include a body scrub this can be booked at an additional cost depending on availability.
  • It is polite to use your spa voice (quieter) or where possible refrain from talking in the relaxation area as other spa users may be resting, sleeping, or unwinding.
  • We recommend that you bring a plastic bag for your wet items after your visit.
  • Personal electronic devices can be used but must be on silent; not vibrate.
  • The use of headphones is permitted in the relax area only and the volume level must be so that no noise can be heard by fellow users.
  • Guests are asked not to consume alcohol prior to using the facilities, any guests who are visibly drunk will be refused entry and no refund will be given.
  • Our thermal spa experience reservations are for a maximum of 2 hours. 
  • No outside food or drinks to be consumed in the Turkish Baths and Spa.
  • Please leaving all valuables in your locker.
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before treatments.
  • Please bring flip flops/sliders/crocs and towels with you.
  • Please do not attend with athlete’s foot or verruca’s.
  • Please let our concierge or therapist know of any illness or conditions you have that could affect your visit.
  • Please keep yourself hydrated by drinking water throughout the thermal experience.
  • If you feel unwell whilst using the facility, please inform a staff member.
  • City Baths Newcastle is not liable for any personal possessions lost in the Spa or Turkish Baths.
  • The recommended time spent in each of our facilities is 15 minutes at any one time, i.e. Dry Sauna, Steam Room and Spa. The use of henna, hair dye, mud masks, creams, oils, cosmetics, nail clipping, any kind of hair removal, running, sexual activity and diving is not permitted anywhere in The City Baths Newcastle, and body scrubbing is only permitted in our Hammam Room when a treatment is paid for.
  • We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice when booking all packages and treatments. In the rare event that our massage therapists become unavailable, we may have to get in touch to reschedule your booking.
  • Please note that if you are late to your appointment we will only have the remaining time allocated. Amendments of bookings are to be made with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice where every effort will be made to reschedule to a more convenient time. In the event that you change your mind, or are unable to attend your booking, credit will be offered when a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is given. Failure to give notice will result in your deposit being held or the full amount being charged. All payments are non-refundable.

Newcastle Student Membership Competition.

10.The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11. One winner will be chosen at random from the Newcastle City Baths Centre.

12. The prize is one free 12-month student membership as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13. The winner will be notified by phone and email. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The winner will be shared on the Fusion Lifestyle Facebook post.

14. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be delivered.

15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

17. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
